I came across a video tutorial program called “Learn Photoshop Now”

Hello,

At first glance the proposed learning methodology presented on the website is adequate and I would even say modern.

Here is the link to the product if you want to review it at the same time ( Learn Photoshop Now )
They have an introductory video that lists all of the features of their program.

The only thing the request is a name and an email address. I have only received one email about the product.

They are levelling the use of videos to guide the user in his training. This is a much better approach than an eBook.

I will have a complete review of the product in my next post.

In the mean time feel free to visit the site yourself. Learn Photoshop Now

Review of the Learn Photoshop Videos (Graphics Champ) system

         Graphics Champ

Hello,

Let me introduce a Photoshop tutorial that is very well rounded and is worth your time to check out.

At first glance the proposed learning methodology presented uses 9 quality videos as the main learning format. It is a full formation, not only using videos as the teaching media. It also includes some skill building exercises, something that is not always present in other courses.

The package also comes with a full set of Photoshop Templates so you can start off with something concrete. This template library will also be available to you even after you finish the course. The template library is not static and is growing rapidly. This feature of the package pays for the whole course because it leaves you with a permanent growing resource.

The course is targeted towards 3 main domains of photoshop activity.

1 : covers more web oriented techniques such as webpage design, website buttons, etc…

2 : covers the photography domain. It shows you techniques to manipulate and improves photos and more.

3 : covers the domain of logos and e-covers, seals. flyers, etc…

The course covers a very large spectrum of tasks that can be accomplished using photoshop. But this is not where the offer stops, it also includes a video editing course.

The video edition portion of the package is just a fairly limited course on video editing. But this is what you would expect from an introductory course.

Overall I highly recommend this course because it covers so much digital editing ground. If you need to learn Photoshop techniques fast or if you are a Photoshop user in need a refresher on the latest techniques, this course might be what you need. I certanlly learned new thing while going through the course.

Photoshop Ideas : Want the default colours? JUST “D-DO” IT

Photoshop’s default setting for the Foreground color is black, and the default for the Background color is white. There’s a tiny little icon below and to the left of your Foreground/Background swatches in the Toolbox that lets you return to those defaults anytime by clicking on it, but there’s actually a faster way than making the trip to the Toolboxjust press the letter “d” on your keyboard.

Photoshop Ideas : Accessing Grayed-Out Filters in CMYK

One of the bad things about converting from RGB mode to CMYK mode is that many of Photoshop’s coolest filters can only be applied in RGB mode, and once you’re in CMYK mode, many of them are “grayed out” in the Filter menu, so they can’t be accessed.

So what do you do if you really want to use one of those filters? (Whatever you do, don’t convert back to RGB mode, then back to CMYK. That’s image suicide.) Instead, try this tip: In the Channels palette, click on the Cyan channel. Go to the Filters menu and you’ll notice that all those grayed-out filters are now suddenly available. All you have to do now is apply the filter you want to each channel individually (once each on Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and finally the Black channel), and the filter will appear as though you applied it to the entire image (in reality, you didyou just did it the more laborious way).

One way to speed up this process is to create an action that will do it all for you with one click of the mouse.

Photoshop Ideas : Bring order back to the world

In Photoshop, you’re constantly moving your palettes around, and before long, you’ve got one messy set of palettes littering your screen. If your palettes get messy, you’re only one simple menu command from having them back at their factory-fresh default locations. Just go under the Window menu, under Workspace, and choose Reset Palette Locations, and all will be right with your world once again (that is, until you mess ‘em up again).

Photoshop ideas : Adjusting curve points with precision

Once you’ve plotted a point on a curve, you can adjust these points by clicking and dragging them, but many people find it easier to plot the point by using the Up/Down Arrow keys on their keyboard. This adjusts the Output of the point in increments of 2. To adjust the Input, use the Left/Right Arrow keys. To make larger moves, hold the Shift key while using the Arrow keys and your points will move in increments of 15.

Photoshop Ideas : How to “Unerase”

You probably already know that you can use the History Brush as an “undo” on a brush, and that by default, the History Brush paints back to how your image looked when you first opened it. But did you know that the Eraser tool has a similar function? That’s right; the next time you’ve got the Eraser tool chosen, look up in the Options Bar and you’ll see a checkbox for Erase to History. Normally, the Eraser tool erases to your Background color, but when you turn on this checkbox, it erases back to what the image looked like when you opened it.

Photoshop ideas : Create your own typeface

Photoshop’s Type tool gives us the flexibility to customize our fonts by converting the font to paths or selections. In the past, we’d have to customize the fonts in other vectorbased applications and then import them into our Photoshop file. Forget that; here’s a better way: Open a new Photoshop file and type in some text using the Type tool. Go under Layer, under Type, and choose Convert to Shape. Now, use the Direct Selection tool to select individual points, and move them wherever you want (as you move the points, your layer shape automatically fills in). It’s that easy.
